Okay, so we've gleaned that you think it a waste of time to know those core, multitabling VP$IP 15% ers before sitting at a table by running PT.

I counter that is less a waste of time than sitting at a random table that has the usual Brandoxxxxx, JRHARxxxxx, and the rest of the pre-flop tight guys who multitable and playing 20 hands at 23%/7% VP$IP before moving elsewhere.

But one thing we can agree on is debating this topic in a thread on 2+2 is a greater waste of time than either of those.

No, I think there is some value.....

At any rate, I LOVE having 1 (even 2) Brandoxxxx, Danxxxx, or Maximaxxxx at my table. They are predictable and I find it easier to control the table when one is present.
