47 - Make sure you change all your passwords now !! Most of those signals are non-encrypted and stealing passwords in an airport is pretty easy now. Take 2 minutes and be safe.

I'm confused - if you play poker in an airport or hotel on their wireless systems are your passwords at risk?
I actually use the save username and password button because only I use my computer but will be doing some traveling and was planning on playing at the hotel.So I don't even type the password as it is already loaded. Is this not a good idea? Is playing on a public wireless system a good idea? |

[/ QUOTE ] Saving your password only saves it on your local computer, when you connect to Party Poker or wherever it still sends your username / password. I generally think key loggers and packet sniffers are generally overblown hype unless proven otherwise. |

[/ QUOTE ] The wireless signals are unencrypted (or poorly encrypted at best), but the passwords are always encrypted before they are sent. You wouldn't want your passwords flying around on the Internet in clear text no matter how you connect. You can relax, but changing passwords now and then is never a bad idea. |
