Only Big Bet poker pota offers is the Tuesday Pot-Limit Hold'em game. It's a $200 min, no max buy-in. There's a common thought that a few individuals may use some signals, so play at your own risk.

as i understand it, you must be there on tuesday to sign up for the next week to get onto the table, and those that are already on the table get first dibs. so the players dont' change very often. but good luck. never heard anything about the signals, but hey...nothing suprsies me anymore.

i had never before seen anyone get carded at pota until tonight. the same guy at my table got carded three times (he turned 21 last week). so i'd take the other's advice and wait for the guard to leave and sneak in and never leave.

i played last night (monday) and it was the first time i'd played on a week day before. i arrived at five and got a seat immediatly. the table was tight and passive, so after about an hour i switched tables. the new talbe was AMAZING...loose and passive all the way. for the four hours i sat at that table, we had 4-7 seeing the flop. incredible.

yesterday marked my third trip to pota, and i'll be going again on either thursday night, or friday morning/mid-day. if anyone would like to stop by and say hello, i'm about 6'4", brown hair, and i use a metallic zippo with card suites on it as a card protector.

The last time I was at Potawatomi, I am pretty sure that I got followed home? After I got close to home I took a few quick turns to lose them, but for a car to follow me down the freeway, get off at the same exit, and take the same turns that I took is very improbable.

I was only playing $2/$4, and only won a little over $100, but you have to admit, this place is pretty ghetto, and maybe I broke the wrong guy or something. Is this something I should be worried about or am i just being paranoid?

Edit: I love the soft games, but have stuck to online since this incident, as I don't even feel safe in their parking garage.

I've not heard of any incidents. You can always get a security escort to your car, but I've left with big wins many times and had not had problems.

Shoe: What do you play out there? I haven't felt as if i was followed, but then again i play 2/4, and even my biggest night wouldn't be worth the time i'd make sure someone does for robbing me.

well, all the same, that sucks that you don't feel secure and won't return. you should inform pota of your situation.

Oh, the lines suck, so get there early.

[/ QUOTE ]I'm thinking of going up there either this Sunday or next Saturday. If I wanted to sit down at 10am, what time should I get there? Also, is the poker room 24/7? Last time I was there on the weekend for blackjack about a year ago, those tables open at 8am on a Saturday.

I'd like to get some live experience before going to Vegas in March.

I've been there a bunch of times, normally play 2/4 but planning to play 5/10 next time i go. I can't say I was followed for sure, it may have just been a weird coincidence. I was only playing 2/4 as well, which makes it seem less very unlikely that I would become a target, but when I drove home at 4:00 AM and had a car seem to follow me, but I'm always paranoid about that so who knows.

No offense you do sound a little paranoid. I'm originally from WI and have played at Pota twice. (Used to work in Cudahy for awhile.) The area around Pota isn't admittedly nice looking, but its not ghetto its more industrial, i'd say. IMO

I would like to know though during the week when's a good time to get a seat for a 2/4 or 5/10 game. The last time i went to Pota with my wife the list was 3-4 hours long for 2/4 and i didn't have the roll to play in the 5/10 plus have $$ for my wife to play. I know the 2/4 is full kill. Is the 5/10 a full kill also?
