Default SSSHH by Ed Miller?

How much would you pay to induce Ed Miller to write Small Stakes Short-Handed Holdem? I think we should get a pool going through the forum. I'll weigh in at $300. (And that's in addition to the $200 cover price).

Hmm, as a term of the deal, maybe we should require that he sell only through 2+2.

Default Id pay him NOT to write it.

I like that there is nothing comprehensive out there and you have to piece to gether a strategy.

Makes it even harder.

I think it's safe to say there's a reason the 6-max games are so profitable...

I'm quite content with there not being any books written about shorthanded play.

Plus short-handed is a lot more psychological and about adapting to and exploiting certain player patterns. So a book would be less useful than for full ring games. No point in writing one.

I think we can work something out. I propose something along the lines of a monthly fee for every month I haven't written it... with a minimum commitment of 18 months.

Please PM me to negotiate the details of the arrangement.

Default Re: why Miller?

I'm just curious, does Miller have the experience with 6-max small stakes play?

If he does, then it'd be great to see this book published, because he's a good writer with a strong theoretical knowledge of poker.

That being said, it's important that a good book be written, not that Ed's the guy to write it.

(That being said, I own and love SSHE; you rock, Ed!)
