No reads on CO. Would have been nice for this hand.
Pacific .25/.50 - 10 handed Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 1 fold, CO raises, Hero calls, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls. Flop:(12.5 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img](5 players) UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP2 checks, CO bets, Hero calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP2 folds. Turn:(7.75BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG+1 checks, CO bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls. River:(10.75BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG+1 checks, CO bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 folds, CO calls. I'm pretty sure I played this terribly, as I just called on 3 straight streets. I think the preflop cold-call was ok, as it looked liked it would be at least 5 or 6 handed. Rip me apart, all criticism is appreciated. |

Had you raised the flop, you pretty much would've given anyone not holding a 5 improper odds to call two cold, given the specter of a big pair from the CO's PF raise.
If the CO has overcards, you want to thin this field big-time. Raise the flop. Had the CO 3-bet you, call the raise and fold to a turn bet. |

I'm interested to see what people say on this... I've wondered about having 99 when a raise comes to you. I don't like cold-calling it, but have a hard time re-raising it.
I don't know that I would have done anything differently. KO |

Raise the flop to drive out overcards and possible straight draws.
Since you only called, CO could still be betting his overcards and possible wheel draw on the turn. I would raise here as well. River is fine. |

Easy cold call with three limpers to the PF raiser. You're probably not going to get the limpers out with a 3-bet, and you want them to stick around for when you flop a set. You want to see this flop as cheaply as possible, and calling here does that.

I would raise the flop and go into calldown mode facing further aggression.

raise/cap the flop!! if you force villain to go into check/call mode, you will lose the same number of bets on the turn and river if you just call his bets and he's ahead, but you can take down the pot if he's just got overcards that don't hit and folds the river. the river definitely helped you.

Raise this flop, don't give anyone with an ace or six odds to draw to the gutshot profitably. You have a strong hand here, protect it!
