Default regedit/microsoft downloads

I am not computer savvy but would like to know if in doing the "regedit" thing when going to another Party skin affects the ability of sites like MIcrosoft/Mcafee to do my automatic downloads.

Bad question?

Please help.

Thanks Much,
carlo

It doesn't, unless you go crazy deleting stuff from the registry...

Thanks, if The Skin doesn't recognize me does MS use another way of recognizing my computer?

Is the same number recreated after each deletion?

thank you,
carlo

I'm out of my league here, sorry. If Party recognizes me via this code which I've deleted, how is it that someone else will continue to recognize me?

I really don't get it.

The file you delete in your registry does not affect Party's ability to recognize you. Also, I'm pretty sure whenever you log in to Party or a skin, that file is put back into your registry.

the items in the registry are application specific. so if you alter the settings for one program in the registry it will have no effect on any other applications.
