Well, to begin with, this place is in Detroit, right? Any time you're near Detroit, say, Romulus or closer, you should immediately reduce your expectations for anything that may take place outside of The Joe.

Hey, I used to live in Taylortucky, I resemble that remark!!!

soaring eagle is so much better than greektown. they are very efficient at filling tables, its much cleaner, and everybody is friendly.

You are right half, of the time. There are two basic floor crews at Soaring Eagle. One is very friendly and efficient and the other is tolerable. I've only met two dealers I would rather not have around, due to attitude rather than ability. I think the rest of the dealers add to the game.
Biggest problems with Mt Pleasant, a) Looooong list. b) Needs bigger games.

The only reason to go there is the weak nlhe game. I've never seen so much money get thrown around by worse players. You're right about the staff though. I was home visiting recently and decided to check it out. Compared to what I'm used to in Seattle and LV I was shocked. Just terrible.

Yes. You always get someone who sits down thinking they can play limit like NL on TV. It's great but I would think the popularity of poker has been NL coverage and they will sit down at those tables quickly. Also most home games are NL. They should also get some 15-30 and up going. I'm sure at first they won't get enough players for bigger stakes but if the start at 15-30 the word will get out and the games will fill up. No one who wants to play any mid-stakes games ventures into Soaring Eagle. Any one in MI who wants to play 15-30 and up would gladly travel to Mt Pleasant for a game vs Detroit. They have been testing NL tournements so I'm sure we will see more NL in the future.
