Default KJs with an A on the flop

Hi,

Villian might be a little loose. He just sat down so I don't have any certain reads on him yet. Table as a whole is tight and passive.

Crypto 1/2, daytime.
Ten handed, Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Pre flop
3 folds
Villian calls
2 folds
Hero raises
3 folds
Villian calls

Flop A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5.5 SB)
Villian checks
Hero checks

Do I need to bet here to know where I am?

Turn K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2.75 BB)
Villian bets
Hero raises
Villian calls

After checking the flop I now put him on a king or worse. I believe I have the better kicker here most of the times he has a king so I raise. Did I jump to conclusions here?

River A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6.75 BB)
Villian checks
Hero bets
Villian raises
Hero calls ...

and hopes for the best.

You have position, so bet the flop. Having said that..it 'looks' like the villain was going for the check/raise on the flop. He bet the turn with his pair of A's fearing you checking through and then got stymied by your raise.

The real question I am asking myself is whether I fold this to a check/raise on the flop, I think I do.
