Default Re: Anyone play pool / other types of gamling?

I've been thinking of selling my Schon as well. I'm still playing in a weekly 9-ball league (APA), but have been too lazy to haul my cue around and worry about keeping up with it while at the pool hall. Plus it is funny to beat (at pool) people with a house cue.

Actually, got introduced to Vegas when my old team won a trip to Nationals. I've won a free trip there as well - funny, most of the team was "happy" when we finally lost as the pool was seriously eating into our gambling time.

Sports gambling is another hobby of mine, but it is pissing me off recently. I think I'm going back into semi-retirement, where I only bet "locks"

Backgammon is a great game to play for money.

I've really been looking to get into this. Can anyone recommend a WLLH for backgammon?

I like to play the horses. Unfortunately, the rake makes the game almost unwinnable.

There are reading suggestions and book reviews on that site, but you should read the other material as well. If you want to make rapid progress, then in addition to reading, you also need to play (preferably online, so you can review the match afterwards) and analyze with a bot.
