I can just rather play in local games in Austin. And since several people replied here from Austin, we should form our own local game.

with 2+2ers? Yeah right... I could make more money per hour working at McDonalds..

However, there are a number of pretty good games here in town..

Depends on traffic. The place I'm looking at is about 5-6 minutes from I-35 off of Louis Henna. From UT, I'd imagine this is about a 25 minute drive with no traffic. With traffic on 35, all bets are off.

Keep us posted on this game. BTW, have you guys heard about all the robberies at some of these Austin home games? Been a few reports in the paper.

I wouldn't mind jumping into a local game with some 2+2ers. I'm in North Austin, so the Round Rock location would work fine with me.

There have been several. My roommate heard about several. There was a huge game on Riverside <rolls eyes> that attracted a large following. So all the UT students that lived over in the Riverside apts would go, then other UT students would go, and there would be some poker regulars in Austin that went. The couple running the game took a huge chunk out of the pot (and would still play in the game). I figure a 10-15% cut. So it was only bound to happen. 30-40 players per week in a public meeting room in the middle of this Riverside apt complex? Are you kidding? It was just bound to happen. I went once and never went back.

Yeah, these roberies are bound to happen. The robbers know no one can do anything about it since the games are illegal to begin with.

I wouldn't want anything with too much money involved. And I'm definitely not looking for dealers or a rake. Nothing with too high visibility or opportunity.

I should be moved in by the end of February. Looks like I have enough room for a table in a game room very easily (possibly 2 tables as well).

Anyone in the region interested, PM me and I'll let you know when I'd be ready. Also, if anyone has a table to borrow until I build my own, it would be very nice to have.

Also, anyone who wants to help me move my stuff, you'll get preferential seating.

I'm in Pflugerville. A buddy of mine and I are heading to Eagle Pass next weekend. I'll post a trip report when we get back.

I think you are in better luck driving to the Oklahoma casinos than going there. Good luck.
