Default 4-2 sooted

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, 1 fold, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero checks.

Flop: (5.50 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP3 bets, Button folds, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.

Bottom pair and a flush draw, I better call this!

Turn: (4.75 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls.

Is this just reckless? Come on, they're sooted!

River: (7.75 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 checks, MP3 bets, Hero raises, MP1 folds, MP3 calls.

Wow, this is unexpected, I better check-raise!

Final Pot: 11.75 BB

Was this just a terribly played hand? I'm not crazy about my turn call, and I also could have check-raised the flop I suppose. Comments?

I think I would lead this flop, I have a pair and a two card flush draw so a raise doesn't scare me but a check through does. I check/call the turn and check/raise the river.

I would bet the flop, with a pair and a flush draw you have a nice equity edge. Aslong as a couple of people call (nearly always) your bet is for value.

Why are you questioning your turn call? You have 9 outs to the flush and I would give your two pair or better 3 outs. That's 12 outs needing about 3-1 to call, you're getting 5.75-1 including implied odds and people to call behind you on this street.

It is rarely correct to fold a flush draw when you don't fear a fullhouse.

River check/raise is good for maximising wins.

Bet the flop.
Check/call the turn.
Nice river, he didn't see that coming.

Agree with above. Need to bet the flop.

Everything else is goot.

Bet the flop for value. Folding the turn would be absurd.
