Funny Metaphor for the Bubble Run
Was just thinking. You know that show mXe? The english-dubbed Japaneese game show?
Theres one event, its called "Floaters & Sinkers". For those not aquainted with it, basically, ach contesttant has to run across a creek, jumping from stone to stone as they go. Its about 20 feet..like 5 steps or so. BUT, a few of the "stones" are actually just blocks of styrofoam floating there. And when you step on them, you step through into the creek. So...heres the analogy: For the run of say 30 hands from pre-bubble to get ITM, you play (besides blinds) maybe half a dozen hands. If you hit a "sinker", you might be gone. By that, i mean those hands you get that look real good, should be best hand most of the time, but this time you just ran into a straight up better hand. But as long as you keep hitting "floaters" (winning pots/losing small pots), its all good. Heh. Just freestyling it, kinda hard to explain. Hope this makes someone laugh. |
