Re: Poker Rooms in North Indiana Area
I'm definitely going, but whether to Trump or Harrah's is up in the air. I'm planning on re-reading some SSH this weekend, as well as cracking open TOP a bit.
If that 5/10 game is honestly that passive, I may make a point to drive up there a bit more often. Thanks for the help. ITA |

Re: Poker Rooms in North Indiana Area
The 3-6 game at Trump and the 5-10 game at Harrah's are both pretty soft. You will run into a lot of bad players of both the passive and overly loose kind. Some games will have a maniac or two. If your bankroll is sufficient, it is better to play at Harrah's just because the rake will hurt you a little less in the 5-10 game than in the 3-6 game. Time of day matters as well, as the games tend to be a little tighter during the day.
Blue Chip's room is no longer open. If you want to play higher limits, Harrah's is a better choice. |

Re: Poker Rooms in North Indiana Area
I've seen a lot of maniacs at trumps 3/6. All games were extremely loose. In 5 trips the only good player I have sat with there is from here. The rake does suck though. 10% to $5. I would go play harrahs 5/10 if I had the bankroll.

Re: Poker Rooms in North Indiana Area
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. As I'm just going to get a feel for these games to se if I may try to make trips a semi-regular del, I'll be sitting in the 3/6 at Trump's tomorrow, Monday 1/17.
If anyone is there, I'm planning on arriving between 11 and 11:30 and I'll be wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a Canadian flag on it. Feel free to say hi, my name is Ian. I'll try to post a report if I can remember anything... when I played in Vegas, I barely remembered anything about the game around an hour after I was done. ITA |
