Default Beginner\'s books on Omaha?

hi!

do you know any good beginners books in omaha? im thinking mostly about omaha hi, but i am interested in omaha/8 as well. i have searched around, but didnt really find much.

if you got any tips for me, please state whether the book deals with omaha hi, hi-lo or both versions. thanks.

btw, i've been playing texas for a few months and own some books that apply to other poker games as well, such as TOP. texas hold'em will remain my main game, but omaha is nice as variation.

grateful for replies.

Ciaffone's Omaha Hold'em Poker is about all there is on this topic. You won't find hardly any Omaha Straight High books. Stewart Reuben has one, but it's only about Pot-limit. Just about every other book is based solely on Hi/Low.

oh, ok.. thanks for the advice.. amazon is out of stock on that book, guess i'll have to find it elsewhere..

dang, why no books on fixed omaha hi? it's seems like a very profitable game.. people seem to play a lot worse in low-limit fixed omaha hi than in similar texas games.

im having enough new things to consider learning a new game without that complicating hi/lo-split... seems quite fun once you master it, though.

Same reason there are so few Stud books. It's not hot. Hold'em is hot. Most of the players are schmucks, and a good percentage of them will eventually splurge on a book. Omaha isn't hot because it's usually not played No-Limit style. And we all know that people need to prove how big their balls are with an "all in".
