Default $50/100 NL hand

This is my first time sitting in this particular game, and I've run my stack up to about $24,000.

In the key hand, I'm in the cutoff. UTG, best player at the table, opens for $4,000. He's trying to run over the table I figure. Folded to me, I look down at 22 and pop it up to $8,000. Folded to UTG who just calls.

The flop comes 8-5-2 rainbow giving me bottom set. UTG checks and I smooth-check, figuring he'll bluff at it on a later street. River is a 7. UTG puts me all-in for my remaining ~$16,000.

Easy call here? Results later.

$4,000 open on a $100 big blind?

or do you mean he opened for $400?

This whole hand seems weird. Where did you play it ??? If all is as you wrote there's no way you're behind. What could he have open raised with ???? Your ducks got lucky against a big ace or middle pair.

I think you meant to say "Turn is a 7."

And you should fold, since opponent obviously has 6 4.

im sorry, you reraised a 40x bb utg raise with 22, then when you hit a dream flop expect theres some way not to go all in? and this must be one of those high stakes holdem games where you skip the turn card i suppose...?
