The next time I play in the backroom of a black strip club, I am not going to check my piece at the door, that way when a "brother" strings bets I can whip out the gun and make everything turn out ok.

You didn't know that? Harrington covers this in Chapter Six.

I also think the funniest part of the show was when the chic says, "I was 12", hahahahaha...wtf??? Now I am 100% sure that Rounders was all Matt Damon's genius, as I had always suspected.

The whole time I was watching, I was thinking of how the 2+2 crowd would react. It had so much potential, a series like this, but they had to make it all about revenge, as usual. They made poker so personal-all about drama, and nothing about the game itself. I kind of feel bad for the actors. I also hope this gets great ratings...

I think Sklanksy and crew should start a Rounders reality series. If you stuck Daniel N. on the screen and watched him play for a few weeks, what a show! Before the show aired, I saw a casino show on the Travel Channel that briefly showed a high roller's table at some casino where Chip Reese had over $500k sitting in front of him, joined by Jennifer Harman on his right and Doyle brunson across the table...THAT is good TV!

This is an AWFUL idea. That's not just like tapping the glass, that's tapping the glass, feeding the fish, and helping them evolve so rapidly that within 15 minutes they grow legs and can walk and develop an advanced civilization. Keep Tilt on the air and let people think that this is how you play poker.

I learned I need to start playing more hands like
10-6 off
3-4 suited
22
4-6 suited
56

[/ QUOTE ]

You forgot to add play 22 in middle postion after an UTG raise of 40 times the big blind (I think the blinds were 50/100).

Writing like this is exactly why I hope this show lasts at least two seasons. God bless the writers of this show. They had to have drafted this script while looking directly into an aquarium.

[/ QUOTE ]

In the preview show, they said Eric Seidel was brought in to make sure the poker was as realistic as possible. Let's congratulate Eric on a job well done in this episode. (Note sarcasm)

I learned that all the top pros in town will rush over to start a game because a tourist has 7K to donate.

Im no FCC censor...but im thinking after the unfortunate Janet Jackson fiasco that probably is gonna be a no-no even for basic cable. The whole gang raping of a minor thing.

[/ QUOTE ]

Damn conservatives. The gang-raping would have been just fine on basic cable in the Clinton years.

They should've had Cloutier shooting the dice. That would've been alot more realistic.
