should i have raised this flop? what would it accomplish heads up?
i did not bet the turn because i would have hated to have been checkraised with no heart in my hand...
i cant bet the river and expect to win if i am called..

i think this hand was a disaster.. comments greatly appreciated

I think you have to bet the turn. If he check-raises you, you're probably beat and then you can lay it down (although it's possible he has KJ and thinks you're bluffing). But you can't afford to give a free card to someone who has one small heart.

typical line would go.

raise the flop. bet the turn. bet the river.

generally what do people bet into preflop raisors here? could be a draw, could be overcards, most likely pairs, so whether or not you call or raise the flop is very dependant.

not betting this turn is a significant mistake.

Yea, I would have raised the flop and bet the turn almost regardless of what came. There's still an okay chance that you are ahead on the flop, or that you can get a better hand to fold on the turn.

On the turn, I'd be more afraid of giving him a free card when he has a single heart then of being check-raised. Bet this.

Like CDC mentioned, I could see myself just calling the flop bet against some opponents, but not betting the turn just sucks.
