Don't have any reads on the villian. Comments on all streets are welcome but I posted because of my turn and river checks.

Id value bet the river. He would have bet into you if he had a queen.

I'm honestly not sure if you should bet the turn. Somebody with more knowledge can help you with that. I believe if you do bet the turn you should probably overbet it.

The river I think you HAVE to bet, for value. I'd bet about 250 on the river.

Yes, i think i would have bid on the river here too. But I also think a bigger raise is needed preflop, 100 or so will be fine.

I have around 800 chips left on the turn and the pot is already 600 so if i overbet i'd have to just push and he is only calling if he has a queen.

In this limit, raising more PF is a good idea, although 60 is now my 50 standard raise.

As everyone else said, checking the turn is fine but bet ~200-300 on the river.

I think you played this perfectly, and check-check on both the turn and river is a fine play in my book. Yes, he probably would have bet into you on the end with a Q, but not necessarily. He probably has the diamond draw, which means he isn't calling a bet on the end anyway, so there's no "value" in betting there. If you bet another $200 or so and he raises on the end, what do you do then? By checking, you don't get in a position to have to make any difficult decisions here, which should be a pretty big goal in level one of a sng. All in all, you added 30% to your stack in a level one hand without getting yourself in any tricky spots, which is ideal. A key consideration that can never go understated is that you cannot ever win a sng in level one, but (if you take too many chances) you sure can lose it.

I agree, I think he either has a Q and is worried about his kicker (but he wont fold it) or he has nothing and would fold, I dont see a river bet being +EV.

It looks fine to me, the fact that he called the flop bet has to somewhat scare you that he might have trips. Since you don't have a read, you don't know if he is just trying to draw a bet out of you. If he thinks you have pockets, then he must think he has you beat, and may wish to reraise you. If he thinks you have AK, AJ or the like, he may want to lure you into a bluff attempt. I think this early in the tourny, and with no read on him this is the correct play.

This was my thinking on the river as well. He either has a queen and is dying for me to bet so he can raise or was on a flush draw that just missed and he's done with the hand so a river bet wouldn't do me much good here.
