Re: How do you deal with 2 maniacs?
What percent risk of ruin are you talking about?
This seems like to large a bankroll for say even a 2 percent risk of ruin. Well I guess for 3-6 a max bet would be $72 or 8 BB. With 2 maniacs I guess only playing good hands, then when your in, you always see the river and so are in for 8 BB's. Hence a 1% risk of ruin would require approx. a bankroll of 800 BB's. But this goes against my experience. I'll have to think harder on this. |

[ QUOTE ]
Strategically, you would be better off finding a different table with docile/passive opponents..... [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't mind seeing some more comment on this, because it doesn't sound correct to me. This sounds like a good strategy to minimize variance, but you won't get paid off big either. If you're willing to put a lot of money in play to win a lot of money, I like this table. The only strategy note I'd add to "play tight and don't be afraid to call down" is to be aware when a non-maniac is in the pot. Chances are, he's doing the same thing you are, and you should give him credit for a decent hand if he's showing strength. Martin |
