How is Partys average pot size calculated?
Sometimes when you log on to the maximum pot table the pots seem pretty small. Anyone who knows how many hands they base their potsize on etc?

the last 20 hands [/ QUOTE ] Doesn't Party also include the amount of uncalled bets? I see it all the time in the chat window... guy bets $10 at a $2 pot in NL and the chat will say XXXX won the main pot of $12. |

Re: How is Partys average pot size calculated?
yes Party includes uncalled bets into pot averages. In small limit games this isnt a huge deal since most pots are not won uncontested but for bigbet games like NLHE PLHE and PLO this inflates the pot averages huge.
The following sites DO NOT include uncalled bets in pot averages:PokerStars,Paradise,Golden Palace Rooms,Crytologic Rooms/InterPoker skins and Ultimate Bet. Party Poker,Prima Network rooms and PokerRoom all DO count uncalled bets into pot averages. This is a huge deal for the aware low-limit grinder who is trying to find the best game among say the top 10-12 rooms. This discrepancy is most important if you play alot of bigbet poker...Party bigbet games and short limit games(where you have more pots won uncontested) are not as juicy as they seem just by looking at pot averages..there are often better games to be had at many other sites specifically PokerStars and Paradise. Including uncalled bets in big bet games is a joke and way out of line. It's even worse when the game has 3-4 players playing deep. UB has a funky hybrid of this like a few other sites thu on blind play. I did a check on this and looked at this issue about 3 weeks ago.I didnt get a chance to look at other rooms I play at:Pacific,Total Poker,True Poker nor Absolute. |
