Pokerstars $50 PLO hand from today
hey guys. I've been reading the forums for some time now, first time posting. This hand came up today on Stars .25/.50 PLO. I discussed it with some 2+2ers, wondering if I should have folded this on the turn. Interested in your opinions... thanks

Re: Pokerstars $50 PLO hand from today
If your flush is good the play is excellent. Even without, though: You have 6 boat outs and 3 clean straight outs, though you may chop, and 3 tainted 9's. If your flush is good you roughly double these outs because some of your FH outs are probably taken up in other hands.

Re: Pokerstars $50 PLO hand from today
You have an excellent hand with position, a preflop raise appears to be in order.
It's a decent looking flop but I'm not ecstatic about it. with 3 players in before it gets to you, a fair shout that someone has the A flush draw and a straight is probably a split. I'd prefer a call on the flop and see what develops from there. Perhaps if you'd raised preflop you might have got rid of one or two of the limpers giving the flop play a bit more definition. Just my 2 cents. Dave |

Criminal not to raise this preflop IMO. I'm not crazy about the flop raise.

Re: Pokerstars $50 PLO hand from today
Preflop raise is mandatory. pot it. Pot that flop too, make someone who's drawing pay dearly because it's very unlikely you're up against any set so you have the best hand at the moment with the best draw (open ended str8, flush, and boat draw). if you would have gotten more money in preflop, your flop bet would have put you closer to all in and oyur turn call would be mandatory. only had that has you is J high wrap, AJTx with possible nut flush redraw. I would like to know why some of you disagree with a flop bet though. I understand it's powerful looking board but he has reason to think he has the best of it. btw, the nut flush isn't always out there. Sometimes you gotta gamble.

It's Pot Limit, therefore, raise the pot.

Re: Pokerstars $50 PLO hand from today
Raise this PF. Then you'd get to have lots of fun jamming the flop in a big pot, knowing you're the one who's got the most equity.
