Just out of curiousity, what makes 43s less playable than 54s? Just wondering out loud...

I thought it's because it makes less straights. 43 can only make 3 straights, while 54 can make 4 straights. Plus the cards are slightly higher.

sortof my thoughts too.
i've been ignoring these hands...mainly because it's not a common situation and i have much bigger leaks i'm sure.
food for thought though.

I just realized the # of straights thing just as I hit the post button. I think that's it, the pair value of these hands of course are nil.
