First trip to a casino, questions about turning stone's MTT.

A couple of my friends and I are gonna take a trip up to turning stone thursday for one of there MTT tournments.

Does anyone know what the turnout is for the weekly $40 buy in tourny's? What's the payouts like?

Also if anyone can help how long does it take to drive from NYC?

Do u think we should come the night before and get a room or drive early in the morning and get there to register for the tournment?
