Re: hot QJs action
Hm... today I feel like check/call the flop and c/r the Turn. He might even drop a better Q if he's weak tight.
But there are lots of reasonable lines to take HU... |

Re: hot QJs action
I check/call the flop, check/call the turn, and bet the river.

Re: hot QJs action
I would like both of the lines suggested above better if your hand was less vulnerable to overcards (top pair A's or K's instead of Q's). I would checkraise the flop and lead the turn. If he 3-bets the flop I either call and fold the turn unimproved or call down depending on my read of the player.

I check/call the flop, check/call the turn, and bet the river. Rob [/ QUOTE ] Ditto. AQ or KQ still quite likely. I think weak-tight this time around is sufficient. If choosing to raise, c/r on flop I think is best place to raise. Turn is disastrous if you are 3-bet on a c/r (assuming no Q on turn). |

It's head's up, and at this point, you want to win the most bets possible while losing the least. That's what the c/c, c/c, bet line is designed for. Rob |

Re: hot QJs action
My line goes...click fold button preflop, walk to fridge to get a beer, sit down in time to fold small blind w/o timing out. Something like that.
Check/raise flop, bet/fold turn is one way to go. Brad |

Brad [/ QUOTE ] If you c/r the flop there will be a minimum of 4.25BB in the pot. Bet/folding the turn then would be marginally ok, as long as he'll never bluffraise the turn, but you'll be getting 7.25:1 with 5 possible outs. Rob |

Re: hot QJs action
Exactly why I fold preflop. This hand is super tough to play OOP. If this guy plays pretty well postflop, he is in a lose less/win more situation. If he is super aggressive I might call preflop and just check/call it the whole way.
