What would you have done?
$8300 in chips, 30+ left, average stack around $8000, paying top 5, just moved to the 500/1000 level, 20 minute levels, 7 players at my table.
I'm on the button with KK, UTG calls, MP1 folds, MP2 raises to $2000, LP calls. What move do you make? I think it will be pretty universal, but it's just been eating at me and no better time then to make my first post on here. I'll post results after I get a few opinions...if I get some. |

Re: What would you have done?
Seems like an Easy push to me. Unless by some miracle you have one of them on AA.

Re: What would you have done?
You're right, and I shouldn't be asking the question like that because I think the only move is to push it all-in. I guess what's eating me is the MP2 calling me with 88 and only having me covered by $1200. I was getting it all in in that position no matter what. I just received a lot of flack after I tried to explain to "my friend" what a terrible call that was on the ride home....board came:
Q, 8, 3, 6, 6 At least he went on to win the thing. |

Yep, that's what I was thinking. Oh well, hopefully he makes the call next time and the percentages hold up.

Re: What would you have done?
Yeah dont let things like this bother you. You got tol love that he basically called you with 2 outs or the hope of some miracle straight.

Re: What would you have done?
I suppose calling would be worse than folding pre-flop, but not by much. Cards happen.

Re: What would you have done?
If he was your friend I would think that he was doing you a favor. He figured it was a coin flip and in his position took more risk than you to coin flip with ya so that one of you could have a better chip stack and make higher pay.
I like playing aggresively, but I have no remorse against playing even much more aggresively against friends, not because I want to run them over but because combining our chip stacks in one way or another usually gets higher pay. |
