Default How to keep fish at the table?

Anybody know any good comments to keep the fish at the table after they go on a tear and get ready to leave with everybody's money?

Add them to your list for starters.

I'm not much for chatting. But once a lucky LP who is, was getting ready to leave and he had just played the blinds and took down a nice pot. As he said "gl all time for me to go", I typed in, "hey might as well play the free cards until your blinds come around".

He stayed and forgot to uncheck his autopost and paid for two more orbits.

Become their buddy.

The fish are there to play and have a good time.

Start a friendly conversation with them, get a couple of jokes in.

laugh at him hitting another river against you.

Not all, but many of them are there to have a good time, and if they find a fun table with a relaxed joking atmosphere, they are having a good time, and will more than likely stay around.

Undoubtedly, these fish will be receiving a fair share of flaming comments from those that have been beaten. Do what you can in order to deflect those comments. Even if it means that you have to start being the subject of the flames. I'd rather be the subject of the flames, and keep the fish around, than to allow some idiot bully to run off a prime fish.

One thing you never wanna say is how bad they are and how they will eventually go empty and they are the worst you ever played with. While these comments may send a good player on tilt they allow reality to sink in on a fish. They then realize they suck and just got lucky and think I better quit while Im ahead

"Hey Fish, where do you think you're going? I'm a brown trout, get back here with my money!!!"
