I don't like these kinds of folds in reasonably big pots because of the tendancies of many party player to make outrageous river bluffs. Even though you seem to think the villian is solid, i think calling is profitable here. Also, the river was that scary, i would check call. Betting and the folding to the raise seems like a poor line.
