To make the post contemporary (in football anologies), would you describe your poker style more similar to Favre or Brady? Favre working with a poor defense and taking many chances (poor hand reading post flop and hyper-aggressive pre-flop and on the flop), or similar to Brady? Brady working with a great defense and playing to not take chances, make first downs (win small pots), and play long-term odds?
I play 50% no-limit and 50% limit hold. When playing limit, I am Favre, when playing no-limit, I am Brady. It is working for me. You? |

I'm Joe Montana
I read the defense, attack weakness, call the correct audibles, and execute... |

Hiya -
I would have to say that I'm a little like Favre by your description. Every now and then I get tagged by own aggression in stupid situations... In a NL tournament (haven't played in one in a long while), I am Brady. I play defense and pick my shots (planning on picking up Harrington's book soon). PB Packers did not rule last night...it was very sad. I wish I could punch Randy Moss in the face...if he bluffed his injury, it certainly worked. Al Harris should have still been on his case... |

I think that the player you need to be depends who else is at the table. You need to be the Farve against a table of Bradys and Brady against a table of Farves. Just my opinion. |
