Reagan said that he did not have anything to do with Iran-Contra. I take him at his word. I blame Ollie North and others for the whole scandal.

Of course, all good things that happen to America during a GOP administration were destined to happen anyway. Keep telling yourself that.

The GOP does the hard work, the Democrats take the credit. Typical.

I think Reagan was, on balance, a good president. I even voted for him in 1984. I just think that the collapse of the Soviet Union was more a result of its own shortcomings than of anything Reagan did, although I think the acceleration of the arms race did put some fiscal pressure on the Soviet Union that may have made it happen faster than it would have otherwise.

I think the current president, OTOH is dengerously incompetent.

People who live in America are Americans, not Americs.

BTW, do you know what percentage of people in the United States voted for you?

[/ QUOTE ]

Over 51% did. Which is, in fact, WAAAAAYYY more than Clinton ever got. He never even got a majority of the popular vote.

Default Nope...spell check broken.

Too busy celibrating the Bush43 victory to fix it...

By the way, these posts for people who love the USA. Perhaps you should start a new post called "I'm a self-hating American, that likes to nitpick others spelling because it makes me feel smart".

I'm sure you'll get lots of hits

I am not a self-hating American. And I make more spelling mistakes than yer average poster. But I also happened to find your spelling error very funny because you wanted it to be witty too. So sue me.
