Default A10o. Brilliant, or moronic?

SB is solid. MP1 is a total calling station, with a VPIP around 70. Tell me what you think.

Fold preflop, yada yada yada. Against a total calling station I'm betting the river.

Do you think I should bet the river?

Damn, stop posting right after me. I'm realizing now that I should fold this preflop, but I'm really looking at the flop right here. Is it worth it to try to get the solid SB off JJ or QQ? Or should I just fold the flop?

The 4 didn't change anything on the river. You bet the turn and got a flat call, bet the river.

Oh yah, and fold preflop. ATo is a LOOOOSER from EP.

You can raise to try and drive out the MP player and in case your hand is good.

Oh yah, and if you get a free card you may improve even if you aren't good now.

If you're trying to push SB off a better hand or even just get a cheap showdown you may be better off calling the flop and raising the turn. Then if SB calls check the river through unimproved.

I don't understand, given your description of MP1, why you didn't bet the river.

I made a mistake not betting the river. I also thought about raising the turn, but if I got three bet on the turn by SB, it would be much more expensive than getting three-bet on the flop. If he has AA, AK, or KK, he would let me know. If he has QQ or JJ, he would fold (or call, planning to check/fold the turn). I knew I didn't have the best hand on the flop. What's the optimal way to get the best one out and leave me HU with the calling station?

I meant to add that you could fold to a 3-bet.
