Not sure I like the all-in bet on the turn. That is one of those situations where he only calls if he is ahead. I wouldn't put him on a draw other than AK or AQ. If he is only drawing to a 6 outer, don't you want him in. At this point, the only better hands than yours that you may get to fold are 88 or 99.

I like it. Unless he has something like AT, TT or a set he is going to be hard pressed to make the call. I put him on the normal range of raising hands here and I doubt he has an overpair. Nice play.

My New Year's Resolution - post more, lurk less. So...

Same weak-tightish table as in Hand 1, I assume. With what hands would MP2 raise 2 limpers? Looks like AA-QQ or AK to me, but you know the guy. Maybe the flop call increases the chance of AK? If MP2 will fold some of those overpairs, then the turn push looks like a good idea, but I probably don't play it that way against the only stack that has me covered.

If he has ace-face, he has 10 outs, not 6. 19 if they happen to be hearts.

carry on.

You are right with the 10 outs. I don't tend to give much credit for flush draws heads up, when the draw develops on the turn.

As you were...

Why committ all your chips on the turn? Likely hands would be a 66 or bigger pocket pair, suited (not necessarily hearts) KQ or KJ, and then any "big" ace like AT-AK. I think a 2/3 to full pot sized bet would have been appropriate. Big cards that missed the flop will fold, and you're still charging a good amount if he got a flush draw. I think despite what hits on the river, it maybe correct to check the river. Assuming all your opponents are kind of weak-tight (per your first post) betting the river wouldn't gain you much unless they had a 88 or 99 and was afraid of the turn and river.

1. my hand is vulnerable
2. the flop is draw heavy
3. he would seriously consider folding an overpair
4. any reasonable bet commits me, and the pot as it stands represents a good addition to my stack.

all these factors led to my pushing on the turn.

Would you be less inclined to push then if you had 66 because it negates 4 outs?
