Gotcha, do you have the account codewarrior at Stars? Maybe someone else with a similar name.

I just started playing O/8 SnGs at Party. With a very small sample size, I am running 45-50% in the money. Playing very tight early, the main problem is getting blinded out in 4th-5th position if you don't hit a couple of decent pots.

Because these are limit games and split pots, there are few eliminations in the first rounds. So these games play longer than NLHE. Most players at the $10-1 level don't seem to have any grasp of strategy, other than to raise preflop with A2xx. (One moron raised preflop three times in one game, each time with 4 rags of the same suit.)

Typically, half the players are seeing every flop, and swapping half pots back and forth for the first 2-3 levels, until some definite trends become apparent. The usual player's strategy is to see the flop with anything, and call to the end if he catches any piece of the flop. You get rivered often, but you get some good pots when you don't get rivered. And there are usually 1-2 players who know enough to play tight, but not enough to play aggessively when they have a hand.

Once it gets down to the last three, if one of the others knows how to play short-handed, a lot of it is a crap shoot based on who gets the cards. If not, it's usually easy to be the table bully.
