Havent been playing well lately.

1/2 200 NL... 10-handed... First rotation, I have $206, villain $49. I open-raise to $8 from MP with AQo. All fold to villain in the cut-off. He pushes. It folds to me and I call.

Villain isnt great but isnt horrible either. Maybe this is why I am not winning much lately....

Yeah, unless you have a read on villian that he's pushing his stack on a lot of inferior hands folding AQo is pretty much an automatic. You're behind all pairs JJ->22, and crushed by AK, AA, KK and QQ. In order for you to properly call you have to be getting 3:1 (assuming he doesn't have AA specifically). He's offering you 60:41, which is close to 3:2. Auto-fold! You can only call the all-in if he pushes with only $18/$19 or less, which gives you those odds.

This obviously changes with reads that he's willing to push with hands like KQ, AJ and other hands you yourself dominate.

Hey I won the hand, he had AK, but I rivered a straight. Obviously stupid call by me. Then I lost an AK hand to AQ to make up for it. The over/under on when I get to -$200 for the night is 11:58 pm CT. I am at -$115.50 so far.

i'm out 480 on the day. most of it on this lovely hand

AA on button, re-raised to me, i make it 170 even, one customer. flop 877, he pushes. i call crying like a baby.

good thing: he had A8
bad thing: turn 8
worse thing: river 8

i'm thinking about sending an email to badbeatfairy@prima.com and asking if the river 8 wa really necessary.

Balsy play, but good for you, for sticking to your intial instinct.

For me, AQo without a read is an automatic fold.
