This hand bugs me, advice needed
Stars NL 1/2
Just sat down, folded my BB. No reads. I'm in SB w/ AQ spades. 1 MP calls, next player checks his post, button ($273) raises to 8, I call ($70 left after call). Comments? Rest fold. At this time I read button for AK or medium pockets based on the raise, position, and pot size. Flops brings 8AQ rainbow. Going w/ my initial read, I decide to check. As expected, button bets $12. Bet smells like AK for sure. I call. Comments? Turn is J, completing rainbow. I check, button bets $10. Hmm, small bet. I have $48 left, pot contains roughly $54. I pause, raise to $25. Comments? Results to follow. |

Re: This hand bugs me, advice needed
why does this hand bug you? You love your flop, and expecially because of your read of button having AK (which should allow you to double through).
is it the small bet on the turn that bugs you? I hope you didn't fold if he decided to push on your reraise. |

Re: This hand bugs me, advice needed
To be honest, I didn't think for one second if he had KT until you guys mentioned it. Like I said, I stuck w/ AK or medium pockets the entire time.
The part that bugs me is the small bet in this specific situation. |
