Newbie Question on Reload Bonus
As is posted elsewhere, Empire is offering 20% on upto $1000 reload deposit.
Recently starting playing poker, I have $1500 in Empire - only site I'm playing. I could withdraw $1000. Then redeposit $1000. Would that qualify for the bonus? It doesn't seem to be the behaviour the bonus is made for. Feels a little dirty. rabbit |

Re: Newbie Question on Reload Bonus
You will see many Hideous Hogs before long, before whom your own behavior will pale. And really, these things are all just forms of prop payments and incentives. Empire is happy to give you this bonus if you'll keep playing there. VM fan?

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ] Empire knows that you can take your money elsewhere at any time. They are happy to give you a bonus to keep you involved with them (well you actively are, but there are plenty of folks who wander to another site and forget about Empire - this brings them back). If you got $1000 in cash, Empire wants to get in in the form of rake, regardless of whether you have it parked at Empire or somewhere else. If you only had $100 online (at all sites), they may not want to give you a big bonus. So, their reload strategy rewards people with a large pool of cash laying around ($1000 gets $200 bonus) while not helping much the guy who only has a little ($100 gets only $20 bonus). Where the money is currently parked does not matter. |

Re: Newbie Question on Reload Bonus
Enjoyed Mollo a lot. Have taken a hiatus from several years of seemingly constant bridge.
Online poker is more time-flexible fix for my competitiveness. While I haven't gotten very far in my poker analysis, I would think bridge is both a wider and deeper game. That's basically because there more situations in bridge. (Please note, I am not saying Poker is not both wide and deep. I don't want to be starting something here.) It's kind of like rich people with a cocaine problem looking down on poor people using crack. rabbit |
