Thanks for the info. I looked at the krylon website and it says that they have gloss and matte. The labels I were looking at buying are matte. If I apply gloss krylon will it have a strange result?

Also I redid the labels:

Not familar with Magic but I like the designs. I prefer the fading towards the center like in the 2nd set better... might even fade it a little more to see if it highlights the center graphics better.

Looks like there are some "sun spots" that make the graphic look dirty on my monitor... like the graphics are textured or something mostly on the yellow sun but also a little on the bottom of the red flame?? I'd have to see print proofs to see if it shows up (could just be my monitor??). Could be my monitor again but it seems like the yellow could be more yellow... looks a little pale on my monitor. You might consider checking with the label vendor if you don't do the printing on trying to match your chip colors as close as possible.

Might go adhead and crop out the graphics to simulate the circle 1" labels as opposed to the current square.

Might consider getting them laser printed on a quality vinyl label and avoiding the spray approach... don't have any links handy but I've seen quite a few posts on labeling... maybe more so on THP & ScottKeen forums.

I like the design keep us posted on your progress,
Fins

Thanks for the ideas Fins. I'm definitely going with the second set of images or some improvement on them.

Yeah, I tried to give a little texture to each of the images but it's not noticeable on all of them. Maybe I should take that out. I will and see how it looks.

I looked into the ScottKeen forums and found some good stuff there. If anyone has a link to where I can find quality vynal labels that would be great. I've found some but you have to by a lot of 6300 labels.

ok, took out the texture (I like it better now) and made them circular:

Anyone have any other ideas? I'm really liking how they're shapping up.

I'm with Fins. I've never touched a Magic card, but it's a cool elemental design nonetheless.

Isn't the 5th color white?

It's been a while for MtG for me!

I got Krylon Matte "preserve it" spray at JoAnn Fabrics. That is the spray Lynbark recommended. He said glossy is too shiny. I like the way mine turned out and the turnaround time was like nothing.

My only concern with the images would be the print resolution.

If this is the actual size of the image you will be uzing, you're only getting around 100 pixels/inch. They can be used, but the printouts may not look very sharp.
