Re: Whimpy Board Pair Strategy?
It would have been nice if you have said that you looked left on the flop and saw that both blinds were folding, like they do in mid-high when they post these b&m hands.
If you dont, then you have to raise to protect your hand. I like your turn and river play though. |

Re: Whimpy Board Pair Strategy?
i raise this flop most of the time, i am in good position to knock out hands that have outs against me like overcards/gutshots and my hands is usually good here...

Re: Whimpy Board Pair Strategy?
Without the aid of reads, raise the flop.

Re: Whimpy Board Pair Strategy?
Sorry--
I left out an important piece of info which is that both blinds were telegraphing a fold (in fact SB folded out of turn). What do you all think of the turn? If a blank had come, would you pop it...does the 7 make you fold? |

Re: Whimpy Board Pair Strategy?
So was this 6/12, 12/24, or 6/12 kill? Because I saw it posted in mid-high as 12/24. I think there is a difference in how hands play out in a 6/12 kill pot than in a straight 12/24 (if such a thing exists).

Re: Whimpy Board Pair Strategy?
Yikes...I guess I'm caught. The actual hand was 12/24 at California Grand but I wasn't sure if that was too high a limit for this forum and anyway, the play is much like a 6/12 limit game.
