and, having bought both, that dumping the money that you would spend on them into a site with good micro limit games is better still.

And a copy of Ed's book.

you do realize he's talking about the Tournament version, don't you?

The number of people who say SSHE is the answer for everything are hilarious

"What's a good book for stud? - SSHE"
"What's a good book for tourneys - SSHE"
"What's a good book for car repair and picking up skanks? - SSHE"

Jesus.

personally, I'd use that Donahue Digital tourney software available in Target for 20 bucks....a bit better, IMHO.

No, I didn't...thank you for pointing that out.

In my defense I only had about 3 hours of sleep when I read that. I saw Poki and assumed Ring game (do they even have tourney software?).

The correct answer then is: Tournament Poker for Advanced Players.

But get Ed's book anyway as it makes some mean Julian Fries.

It hasn't gotten good reviews. I don't have it, but have some of the other Wilson programs and like them. However, they are coming out with a new tournament version in a few months. I wouldn't buy it until that comes out and someone reviews it.

Poki was renamed "Poker Academy Pro" in November, and now includes no-limit tournaments as well. It is a free upgrade for all owners of "Poki's Poker Academy", so if you currently own it, make sure to go download the free update -- it was a huge upgrade.

Cheers,
Aaron

I'm a beta tester on the new tournament version which will be coming out soon. It much much better than the previous version and is a fairly strong opponent.
