Which flush is the right flush?
Two players have a heart flush. Board is 4h 5c 9h Th Kh. Player A has a Jh, player B has a 6h.
My question is, do they both play the board aka King high flush, or do they keep going down to see who has the next possible highest card if they can beat the board, ie the Jack being higher than the ten of hearts, which is also highre than player B's 6 of hearts. Thank you. |

Re: Which flush is the right flush?
The only hand that would "play the board" here is 32 without a heart. As it is, the player with the J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] takes the pot.

Re: Which flush is the right flush?
I once saw a semi-drunk guy go haywire over this same question at Foxwoods. He had a lower flush card with 4 on the board, and he was very insistent that he should get a share of the pot because both he and the winner "had a queen-high flush." He even called the floor.
But as the responses here clarify, he was in the wrong. |
