Default 7cs for beginners?

Are there any good/great books on 7cs on a slightly easier level than 7csfacp? Perhaps something specific to lower limits?

Anyone have a 'Clarkmeister Rotation' for 7cs?

It's time to learn something besides Hold'em and Omaha.

Roy Wests book was where i started.....7 Card Stud - How to win at medium and lower limits.

First game i learned to play properly and i made a lot of money on the back of this book - but i gotta warn you right here and now......be prepared to take so many kicks to the guts time and time again - and oh it helps if your ass is made of leather!!!!

When you have AA to start vs any other pair in holdem you are WAY ahead - in 7cs it is so much closer 60/40 roughly i think. Havent played this game in so long because there is far more game choice at holdem and even omaha now, plus I went through 16 monitors

Good luck

I don't plan on making it my bread and butter game, but it's good to be able to play something besides hold'em, if nothing else it keeps boredom at bay.

Andy B (over in the Stud forum) highly recommends Ray Zee's book instead of West's. I have them both and haven't gotten a chance to read Zee's book yet (stupid school). You might want to check that forum out since there are several posts asking the same question and everyone's recommendations and reasons for the recommendations.

Have fun at the table.

Default West\'s book

I just bought it yesterday -- post-Xmas gift to keep myself from buying a software program I don't yet need -- and it looks very good. Paging through it in the bookstore several times, I somehow got the impression it had less content than it actually has.

Regarding another post on this thread, I'm not familiar with Zee's book; could someone post the title?

Seven Card Stud for Advanced Players by Sklansky, Malmuth, and Zee is the only stud book I recommend. So my rotation would be that and TOP. West is OK, but he has a lot of stuff that is sub-optimal. 7CS4AP has a section on loose games that I find highly applicable to low-limit games.
