[ QUOTE ]
I leave my house at 10:00 for the short drive to the airport where I am going to rent a car for the 6 hour drive to LV. Me at rent-a-car counter doing my Jerry Seinfeld, "You can take the reservation, you just can't keep the reservation?" No cars to be had. No Vegas for Sixes. (My truck and I have an expensive history when driving to Vegas we do not wish to re-live.)

Leave airport and head to Quizno's for a Steakhouse Grill. Despite sign on front of door saying they open at 11:00 on Sundays, at 11:25 all is closed.

Head to local casino; tournament still going on. Goal for Vegas trip: No Slots, No Blackjack, No roulette. Goal evidently doesn't apply outside of Vegas. $-60 in 5 minutes at Blackjack. $-60 in 30 min. at Wheel of Fortune Slots. $-20 5 min in roulette.

Back to Poker Room. Sit at 3/6 and lose 50 BB, playing my 'B' game. AA cracked twice, any KK, or QQ would find an A on the board. Memorable hand: QQ loses HUGE kill pot against KK and JJ on AAT9 board when J came on the river (I had two outs for $18,000+ jackpot). B&M poker is fixed! Saw quads 5 times in 10 hours. I waited two hours for an order of chicken strips and a Corona (my only beer of the day). By this time, I would really like to leave except I've got great numbers for football pool which will get me un-stuck. Continue to lose another 20BB (who knew that *1 and *4 would not be good after Miami and Cleveland jumped out to 7-7 so quick?) This was my first losing B&M trip in the last 7. I really didn't play poorly and I made some good reads and laydowns, I just had one of those days. It seemed like every big pot (especially the 6/12 kills) my good hand would lose to an even better hand. In one HUGE kill pot, my QQ flopped a set (I only had two sets all day, both would lose) against a set of JJ and Some Other Guy. Some Other Guy won with R-R straight.

Head home. 2-year-old daughter wants to play with finger paint Christmas present. Who the hell gives finger paints to a 2-year-old!?

Looking back, I think it was Quizno's that may have put me on tilt.

So I am in Las Vegas now and paid Bally's $11 for 24 hours of internet access in my room. Bastards. Currently its Tuesday morning. About to go eat and play one of the early tournaments.

I will try to make it down to this poker gathering at Binions for the meeting on Wednesday at 2pm. I have never met a single 2+2 so I wont recognize anyone. It will be really easy to spot me. I will be wearing a black, Houston Rockets hat.

Hope to meet anyone there. Please send me a PM for any tournys you think are worth attending.

There are a bunch of people like you who arrived in Las Vegas on Tuesday and are going to see our two rainiest days of the year.

Hopefully, you'll find something to do indoors.

It must have rained 3in on Tuesday here in Vegas. There was a lake on the street in front of Bellagio. Las Vegas blvd was down to one lane. The water was so high.

I'll be there starting the afternoon of the 3rd (Monday).

Any chance of setting up something for Monday or Tuesday night?

Anyone who will be in Vegas Jan 2-6 that wants to meet up send me a PM or something and we can exchange cells.

I really have no idea what I'll be doing when, but I'm hoping it isn't poker the whole time.

I do know now that Bicyclekick, Gonores, I_Am_B, and myself will be staying at the bellagio for our trip. I imagine that's where most of our playing will be at too.

It was great seeing so many 2+2ers in the same room today. Sheriff Fatman, Count Duckula, All Vegas Poker, Deacsoft, Matt, True Poker CEO, Space Ace, Sin City Guy, Poker Fish, Drummer, Barry T, etc.

Special thanks to True Poker CEO for buying lunch for 40 people!
Thanks CEO, You rock!

Hope everyone had half as good a time as I did.

Thanks,

Howard
