20.1\" vs. 23\" LCD
I am purchasing a new computer and am trying to decide between a 20.1" dell lcd and a 23" sony premier pro lcd. The dell is $600 with a coupon from dell, and I found the sony at a few random clearing sites for around 1200-1500. Is the difference in price really worth if for the larger monitor? In terms of poker and being able to use the system to watch movies and so forth? And finally, does anyone know where I might be able to aquire the sony for prices better than what I have found? Cheers

Re: 20.1\" vs. 23\" LCD
The size is up to you. The only important part is the resolution. It needs to be 1600x1200. I'd say for poker use, get the less exspensive one, (it'll pay for itself quicker )

1) check the response time and brightness on the sony...
2) Call Dell |

Re: 20.1\" vs. 23\" LCD
I really like my Dell, and for poker purposes its perfect with the 16x1200 res. I've been looking at the samsung, and a few of the slightly more expensive ones, but I'm pretty sure that I'll just end up getting another Dell. I can't see how the 23" would be so much better that it'd be worth twice as much... it'd have to be REALLY, REALLY, REALLY DAMN NICE!!!

Re: 20.1\" vs. 23\" LCD
Resolution is key. I 8 table on party, and my 2nd monitor doesnt have very good resolution, so the tables overlap some. Its terrible.
The Dell sounds like a good deal to me; I may get one myself. I dont think the extra size is worth the money. Anyone else used the dells like them alot? |
