Has anyone had any experience with some of the new wide aspect monitors coming out, it seems like these would be great for multi tabling, but I have heard little about them on this forum.
I am considering picking up the DELL UltraSharp 2005FPW 20.1-inch Wide Aspect Flat Panel LCD Monitor, if anyone has any comments on this monitor i would love to hear about it or any similar wide aspects i would love to hear back thakns. |

I bet they're REALLY pretty and cool looking.
However, they don't do 1600x1200 like the 2001 LCD flat-panel's. The highest res. they have is 1680x1050. Thus, you will have some overlap when 4-tabling. Thus the rush by all the 2+2'ers to gobble up the 2001's while they are still available. |

Im not sure on the details but I believe that with the way these monitors are setup that 1600x1200 would not be an optimal resolution to have this monitor set at. Because the monitor is not your standard size a 1600 x 1200 setting would create a lopsided picture, but a 1600 x 1050 may create an adaquate picture.
Any comments from the holders of one of these monitors ? Any idea where I can see one of these things in person or something very simiilar ? |

It wouldn't be an 'optimal' resolution because it's impossible to set it at that res in the first place.
1600x1200 is not an option on hte 2005's...thus you'll have overlap if you play 4-tables on one of those things. But...again...I do suspect they look REALLY cool. |

I've got the 2005FPW and I love it. That being said, there is some overlap when 4 tabling. The overlap doesn't bother me. It is a better quality monitor than the 2001FP, and it's great to watch movies also.
