Interesting line. Tricky to say the least.

Question for you..what kind of table is it?

I think I spew chips like this sometimes. It's something I'm trying to fix.

I think this is great. You isolated yourself with the LAG, knocking out two hands that might have called one bet and had you beat at showdown. It's not unlike my AQo hand I just posted where I cut off an overcall from a likely better hand to isolate with a LAG.

Exactly why is this chip spewing?

MoDoh:

I think I like check calling the river against a LAG. Other than than, I like it.

I think the flop check-raise is very LAG. What do you think this bluff will acomplish? It doesn't seem like CO will fold his hand for one bet so I agree that this is chip-spewing. Can you explain your reasoning a little better?

Why do you think the raise is supposed to fold the CO? The raise is to fold the 2 players in the field between Hero and the CO.

I think the chances of folding the two players between you and the LAG (who coldcalled once already in a pot not nearly as big), combined with the chances you have the best hand against the LAG, combined with the chances that a LAG will not 3-bet a flush draw or a pair are not that good. I think it worked on this hand, but I don't think it will work often enough. Plus, there is no reason to bet the river.

Nice hand, but I'd prefer you saved it for a rainbow flop. With 5 opponents, too often at least one will have the flush draw so you can't get it heads-up.

Against a LAG I'd rather check-call the river but it's close depending on how he plays postflop.
