Only hand a rational player caps the turn with that you can beat here is 55.

That being said I wouldn't say it was 19/20 or whatevevr that you're playing a rational player.

I really don't understand your bet on the river, though.

Either do I. I think I was just in the mode so much that I failed to realize, as soon as I clicked "bet", what I knew I was betting into.

I think I call here; you may be beaten but I could see some fish with pocket aces or something thinking he has the best house betting here too... especially with the pot size you have to stay for just one more bet.

1) Check/call
2) Bet/Call
3) Bet/Fold
4) Check Fold

Don't feel bad... I played almost the exact same hand yesterday... BB's holdings are awesome.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: JerseyTom is MP1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">JerseyTom raises</font>, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">JerseyTom bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises</font>, JerseyTom calls.

I suppose if the jackass is going to C/R me on the flop, he's going to lead the turn, so I plan to pop him there.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">JerseyTom raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">JerseyTom caps</font>, BB calls.

River: (12.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">JerseyTom raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">JerseyTom caps</font>, BB calls.

Final Pot: 20.25 BB

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
BB has 4d 6d (four of a kind, fours).
JerseyTom has Jh Jd (full house, jacks full of fours).
Outcome: BB wins 20.25 BB. </font>

With TOP boat, not some crappy one-carder.. You gotta show me the 8 to take this one.

If you go the cheapest route and check-call, you're calling 1BB for 19, you think you're beat 95% of the time? The bet-call, you're paying 2 for 21, you think you're beat 90% of the time? No way, I'm suprised you think this is so bad

I'm just not seeing a problem here with your play. I would suspect a slowplayed 55 or an overplayed AA/KK. If he's at all intelligent, I like your river play. If he's a lag, I'd 3-bet.

Even though it cost me once this week, I'm not putting anyone on quads so easily.
