Re: Bet the flop with Quad AA?
Well hindsight is 20/20...that you got two callers on the turn would make it likely you would have had callers on the flop. However, the turn could have made someone a flush draw which allowed them to call you on the turn. It seems hard to win a large pot with quad aces; still, given the pre-flop cap I think you should be able to expect one or two callers on the flop.

Re: Bet the flop with Quad AA?
last time i flopped quad aces i bet the flop. let the results speak for themselves.
your flop is a good one to bet at though as by betting you'll give those on the flush draw pot odds to call Quad Aces ~WC |

Re: Bet the flop with Quad AA?
I like the flop check because based on the preflop action, I'd expect a bet from either MP3 or button.

Re: Bet the flop with Quad AA?
I am often tempted to slow-play in Micro games. I am rarely sorry after fighting off the temptation. I am often sorry after succumbing to it. For what its worth.

Re: Bet the flop with Quad AA?
quads.. aces no less.. it doesn't matter.
the flop check is fine. i doubt someone will bet, but hopefully someone boats up or the 3-flush comes in on the turn and you get some action. |

Re: Bet the flop with Quad AA?
I think he means that, as a practical matter , flopped quad aces is as good as flopped quad twos.

Re: Bet the flop with Quad AA?
it means you could open-fold flopped quads and your winrate wouldn't be noticeably different.
focus on more common scenarios. obviously playing flopped quads is fun, but you can't really play the hand wrong as long as you don't check it down all the way. edit: by "aces no less" i am referring to the often documented fact* that slowplaying a set of Aces is usually useless.. you've crippled the deck so no one even has a chance of making a second best hand on a drawless board.. unless you allow them to hit long-shot runner-runners by giving up a free card. with a set of deuces and shorthanded.. it is sometimes correct to slowplay. with a set of Aces.. slowplaying is less correct. quad Aces means the deck is completely crippled.. so there may be no second best hand for people to make. here at least others capped PF, so you can hope they hit their longshots on the turn and give you lots of action. * editedit: well, not fact.. concept..
