Default JJ reraised by big stack on the flop

I think I played this too weakly from start to finish.

$200 party SNG

Seat 9 is the button
Total number of players : 7
Seat 3: ( $1060 )
Seat 4: ( $1755 )
Seat 7: ( $1060 )
Seat 9: ME( $1980 )
Seat 1: ( $2620 )
Seat 10: ( $935 )
Seat 8: ( $590 )

15/30 blinds

so I have JJ on the button. One limper to me, i raise it to 110. SB and BB and limper all call.

BB (2620) bets out 100 and I raise to 350. He reraises to 500 and I fold...

it's early
without a read don't go broke with JJ but that's why I limp with JJ in LP even with only one limper... Bet the over pair and fold to a reraise. Maybe that's a little "weak-tight" but it's been working for me and lots of other players here.

As my title reveals I am only a "stranger"; but i dont know how/why you would have played this hand more strongly than you did.

You made a greater than pot sized raise. As luck would have it you got a bad result, which is exactly 3 people calling. Those calls are scary and say to me either AK, AQ, small pairs looking for trips or a somewhat slow played AA, KK, QQ are in there somewhere. It seems to me its a rare big blind that would play a hand that cannot beat JJ this way.

Your reraise said you were serious and the BB keeps coming. What else can you do?

Feel free to flame me

You say bet the overpair. What do you do here, where someone else bets first?

usually fold to a 1/2+ pot. Reraise otherwise.

I am definitely not going to let myself lose my stack here.

However, considering that 1) I may have the best hand 2) I have 4 outs to the near nuts and 3) my stack size, I think I definitely need to call the reraise of only $150 more in this pot thats nearing $1000.

I also think I should have raised a little more on the flop.

right. You've got 4 outs to the nuts and 2 more for a set. figure pot odds dictate a call but if you miss... you'll probably blind down and have to push a marginal hand earlier

perfect. if he bets out 100 or less on the flop after i limp in lp, ill make it 250 or so to go, and fold to a reraise.
