Two Clear Cases of Racism

[WTF]

1) It's a poker tournament. I've just returned from a break and I'm the only player at my table. A minute later another player returns and sits down directly to my right. He's a very friendly black guy about 22ish in age. He scoots his chair close to mine and in a low tone confides in me that he's joining in with a number of other people to sue the very casino we were playing in.

He said that he and the others had all been discriminated against in one way or another. I asked him what he had experienced. He started off by telling me that he had a degree in math. He then said that he had applied for a cashier position which had opened up (where you exchange your chips for cash, not the gift shop). Now he looks over each shoulder and says, "..and they didn't hire me." Instantly his eyes opened wide and his mouth stayed open looking rather shocked.

I assumed that the casino had went ahead and hired a caucasian, but when I asked him who had gotten the job he just shrugged is shoulders and said he had no idea.

2) I'm standing in line at McYouKnowWho's about to order some food when a black teenager and his white buddy come storming up to the front of the line. The black teen (about 16 years old) extends both his arms towards the cashier with a burger in both hands (top bun in one hand the rest in the other). He say's, "Somebody spit on my cheesburger!"

The cashier and I looked hard at the burger as he held it. It looked perfectly fine to me, no sign of a loogie as far as I could tell. Anyway, the cashier rolls her eyes, doesn't say a word, and takes the burger. As she walks away to get him another burger, the teen says to his buddy, "When I saw that cook, I knew he was going to spit on my food just because I'm black." As soon as I heard him say that I immediately wished I had grabbed the burger and shoved it down my throat.

And seriously, everyone knows that McYouKnowWho's cooks have magic invisible spit. That's why you can't see it.

<font color="white"> First of all, I've never been to a McYouKnowWho's where I've been able to see the cooks. They're always way back behind the counter in the kitchen, doing their own thing, so I'm guessing they can't see you. Also, it always seems like they've got some system in place where they're just mass-producing however many burgers need to be made, not exactly special, made-to-order burgers for everyone. You really should've punched that kid in the face. But then you'd be a racist.

And I put this stuff in white because if anyone read it, then they'd think I was racist.</font>

I was just thinking about the absurdity of the claims.

Although you're right, the guys making the claims are definitely the racist ones, but realistically, the kid in the second story can't be a racist. He has white friends.

Well the first guy is an opportunistic, immoral, fraudulent piece of [censored]. But I don't know if using a claim of racism for personal gain necessarily implies he's a racist.
