Default Should I call for this one outer?

Live 10/20....

I have 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the BB....

One raise preflop, 6 players saw the flop, which was checked around....on the turn this was the board

3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

The SB bet, I called, as did 3 other players, and the button raised....The SB 3-bet....

I folded pretty quick, all folded and the button called...The river was the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]....The SB took the pot down with a full house, which was what I expected...

After the hand, I mentioned what I had folded, and a player I know who is a winning high limit player said that it was wrong to fold my hand....

I thought about it and decided that I was correct to fold, and that this player was incorrect......was he??

I don't know exactly how much was in the pot, but it wasn't small...

You are right. The other guy is an idiot. Count the money. Even if a 2 was good (which it wasn't) giving you 3 outs, the pot is only laying you 6 to 1 (6 1/2 to 1 if you assume a call from turn 3rd player). It's an easy fold.

Yeah, he said my implied odds were huge, which I think makes it a little bit closer...but not close enough

Your "winning player" friend has no clue. He doesn't know what implied odds mean either.

To make matters worse, you shouldn't have even called the first bet coming from the SB.

There is a bad beat jackpot where I play, and my hand and the board would have qualified, so for one bet I was willing to give it a shot....

Are you sure you would have qualified? Most jackpots require both players to be using both of their hole cards, not to mention that most big jackpots require quads or better beaten.

Where I play, (to the best of my knowledge) you can use a single hole card for a straight flush, but must use both for quads...

There were 2 fives on board, so the hand would have qualifed

I would have called the first bet, for 1 thing there is a small possibility his hand is best and if it isnt I would think the rivered straight or boat would be good most of the time. The raise and reraise tells you your hand is certainly not best and you may very well be drawing dead which makes it an easy fold.
