Yes that is correct.

My hostility was a bit misdirected towards you, some of it leftover from arguing with Andy and also a bit because this question gets asked in multiple forums every week.

I believe all sites count rake the same way as Full Tilt. In other words if you have a 20% rakeback deal at Party Poker, it is 20% of all rake paid while being dealt hands at a table.

Also the only games where clearing this bonus isn't near impossible is at 2/4 limit or NL 100, where the bonus has less of impact than it does to lower limit players (not to mention unprofitable tables in general).

I play on FTP. I'm a n00b to NLHE and so it was the first online casino I deposit my money into.

They pay out at every 20% of your initial deposit. So for example, you deposit $500. Once you hit $100 in bonus dollars, they'll deposit it into your account. This is what I did and I just hit my first deposit this past weekend. I have no clue how many hands I've played, but it did take me about 2 months time at the .05/.10 and .10/.25 NL tables to make it. I only play about 3-4 times per week for a few hours at a time. Of course, if you play at the higher limits/multiple tables, you can make it faster. My buddy who also joined plays at .25/.50 or .50/1 games has blown through about $300 in bonus as well. I knew from the beginning that it'd would take me a while to ever reach $500 in bonus and it was never my intention to do so. My ultimate goal was to get about 100 or 200 in bonus, but have the potential there to gain more if I ever felt my play had been improving and that I could move up to higher stakes. they also give you 3 months to earn it.

they also give you points for tournaments. 7 points for every $1 paid in tournament fees. So if you play a $4 sng satellite then you get 28 points (28 points x $.06 is then your bonus dollars). If you win that $4 sng and get entered into the $20+4 satellite then you get the points for those and so on for the $200 entry tournament. not too bad. better than nothing.

Overall I'm down a little bit, but that was due to poor NL hold em play and it was before reading 2+2 books and forum. i've definitely improved my game since then.
